Tanner is 2 years old!!

Today is Tanner's 2nd birthday! I can't believe he's already two years old! Here he is at UCLA in Santa Monica, barely four hours old. I got a kick out of the little hat and booties he received from the volunteers at the hospital. Doesn't he look "hard" in the picture on the right?! I hope he doesn't grow up to be a little thug!

Tanner's First Trip to Eagle Lake

July of 2006 was Tanner's first trip (outside of the womb) to Eagle Lake! He wasn't quite eight months old, so he wasn't walking yet. He had to spend the trip in his playpen, the tent, the baby bjorn, the stroller or in someone's arms (or hand, as in the pic with Grandpa). Grandpa still does the "tah-tee" trick with him today! Even though Tanner had a good first trip, I think his next trip will be so much fun now that he can run around free! We can't wait!!!

Cody's First Trip to Eagle Lake

Speaking of Eagle Lake, I came across Cody's first trip there! (It was actually Tanner's too, but he was still in my belly!)! It was in July of 2005, and I thought it was going to be so hard to take our little guy there. Packing all his bottles, diapers, clothing for warm and cool weather, as well as all of our own things was a big job, but not as bad as I had thought it would be! It was all worth it when I think of how much fun he had out in the great outdoors!

My Husband Ansell Chadams

My husband Russell is into photography, which I am very grateful for, otherwise, we'd probably have no pictures of our kids and family! Here is one of my favorite pictures he took at Eagle Lake. It's where we met, shared vacations (while we were with other people), eventually got together, and got engaged! We didn't make it up there this year, since we had just moved and Russell had no vacation time, but we can't wait to take the boys next year!

Halloween 2007 Part 2

Here are my two nieces in front of their first grade classroom. They're getting ready to parade through the playground! Sydney is a modern witch and Evie is a geisha. Cody looks forward to going with Grandpa to pick them up from school everyday.

Halloween 2007

So here are some pictures of the boys on Halloween. Cody was the dreaded Thomas the Tank Engine and Tanner was Hand-Me-Down Elmo, which turned into Sticky Slobber Elmo after he finished that lollipop (note to self: wash Elmo costume that is sitting in the corner of the boys' room.). Cody had a great time! Tanner screamed hysterically while being forced into the Elmo costume, and he cried every time someone answered the door- until he got that lollipop! Whew! Who knew that a Tootsie Pop would save the day?

George Costanza!

Here is Tanner at about 3 months old. I forgot that he didn't have any hair down the center of his head for a while! We call this his George Costanza stage. I wonder if he will look like that when he's an old man?

My Very Second Post!!! (still no pictures)

Yesterday my mom made cioppino for dinner! It was sooooo delicious! I love the clams, shrimp, and white fish (but not the crab) in the hot, flavorful tomato broth. I wish I could post pictures, but I am having major problems uploading on Firefox. This blog is going to be total boresville until I can get some photos going! Geez!!

I saw my childhood friend outside my parents' house today. She had just picked up her friends' kids from the nearby elementary school. She looks great while I have gained tons of weight, haven't done my eyebrows in a year and a half, and barely put on some eyeliner before I rushed outside to say hi! Gah! I have got to get myself together- FAST! I watch those makeover shows, hoping to get inspired- but I'm just so tired (not sleepy) -just plain worn out!!! Even a full size Rockstar energy drink just doesn't do the trick anymore.

Tomorrow is Russell's 39th birthday. It will be a busy day of shopping and picking up food! I can't wait!

Well, that's all for now...

first day of blogging

Today is my first day of blogging!
Let's see, all we did today was go to Sydney's basketball jamboree, then come home and eat Popeye's chicken. The boys were going crazy, so we didn't stay long.

Ugh! This posting stuff is hard, especially when I don't have anything special to say! Gah!
I've got to go look into posting pictures and video, which will hopefully make this page more interesting.
