Penvy

I LOVE pens. The pens in the photo (taken by my husband) are thin tipped, flow smoothly, AND are scented! I tried to go back to Hello Kitty and buy another pack, but they were long gone. I used them everyday and somehow, they would always get buried under things. So I was always asking Russ, "Where's my pens?" or "Have you seen my pens?" It drove him nuts. It drove him to go onto eBay and find another pack of them and buy them!

I LOVE pens, but my sister Tina loves them more than me. I want to go to her house and count how many pens she really has, because she says there's no way she can count how many she has accumulated over the years. I was telling her about the expensive pens and pencils over at Kinokuniya, and she knew exactly which ones I was talking about because she already HAD them. Geez!

I miss this show the most. More than Newsradio, more than Just Shoot Me, even more than FRIENDS!!!
I can't wait for this movie.

Another Baby Hairstyle

Here is Cody at three months old (August 2004). His hair started growing real long down the middle of his head, forming a faux hawk. It didn't last long, and it grew out within a few months. Boo!

Sukiyaki!

Here's Tanner waiting for his bowl of sukiyaki! YUM! My sister Tina and her husband Scottie made it for my dad's birthday. It was DELICIOUS!

List of the Day - FOOD again!

Here are the things I'm glad I can eat once again!

1. Gayle's Bakery - polenta, ribs, roast chicken sandwiches, spinach Gorgonzola, franchese bread, mocha snaps, downtowners with sugar, crocodiles, and napoleons!

2. Andale - fish tacos of fire

3. El Burro's - chile verde, chicken flautas, chips & salsa, huge portions on flaming hot plates!

4. King Egg Rolls

5. Classico sandwich at Le Boulanger (I took these for granted because I thought they were everywhere, but LA doesn't have any!)

6. Zachary's Chicago Style Pizza (kind of far, but my favorite deep dish style)

7. It's It (this one's for Russell, IT'S his favorite treat that we couldn't get down south!)

Trainloads of Fun!

We went to the Great Mall this weekend, and Cody spotted those kiddie rides he loves so much. I was cracking up because this one family would put their quarters in, and ALL FOUR kids would cling to the ride the entire time! I wanted Russell to take a picture, but he didn't want to be obvious, so we had Cody stand and pose like we were taking a picture of him. You can't even see one of the kids (and I think it's the one that's actually supposed to be enjoying the ride!). I think the girl in the glasses was on to us though!

OUCH!

Here is my niece who needs to wear kneepads when playing basketball! YIKES!

Supercut!

No, Tanner didn't get a hold of the scissors, Mommy did! His bangs were going into his eyes, so one night in the bathtub I decided to give him the Kappa cut! We also call him Moe from the Three Stooges, Lloyd Christmas, and on days when it's extra fluffy, we call him Sandy Duncan! I've been meaning to take him to get his hair fixed, but I kind of like the "little refugee" cut! He's going to be furious with me when he gets older and sees these pictures!

List of the Day - FOOD

I love making lists! I think I will be posting random ones quite often. Here are foods I miss from the Los Angeles area...

1. Island's burgers & fries
2. Killer Shrimp (shrimp in a buttery spicy broth and tons of french bread to soak it up with).
3. Tito's Tacos (crunchy tacos with shredded beef and their chips & salsa-the BEST!)
4. Versailles roast chicken, plantains, black beans & rice
5. Ocean Star dim sum (one of the best of the valley!)
6. Raffi's Place shish kebob
7. Kabuki (fried California roll, crunch roll, & calamari with spicy sauce)
8. Pinkberry (although, I don't know if I miss it so much as the option to go get it)

That's all for now, my stomach's rumbling...

Storm Watch!

What a storm! My sister Tina bought the boys galoshes and raincoats for Christmas, and what a perfect day to try them out! Cody and Sydney had a great time splashing in the puddles despite the torrential wind and rain. Tanner liked it until he was blown off his feet and into the mud (just seconds after that photo was snapped). Poor little guy!

The lights have been flickering, so I'd better get this posted before the power goes out completely!

It's a New Year!

Happy 2008! It's a new year, and time to make resolutions! A lot of people are saying, "I don't do resolutions.", well, neither do I, but I still make a list every year!! HAHAHA! Here it goes:

1. lose weight (on the list every year)
2. exercise
3. care about my appearance
4. purge the boys' old toys
5. crack down on Tanner's food throwing (cute on commercials, irritating in real life)
6. crack down on nap time (which means I may spend my afternoons driving around aimlessly)
7. try some new dinner recipes
8. get some of Russ' pictures of the boys into frames
9. shop for a new duvet
10. start Christmas shopping in October! It's crazy here during the holiday season!
11. potty train Tanner
12. sign Cody up for sports or some kind of classes (energy burners)
13. go to the optometrist
14. find a hairdresser
15. read "Water for Elephants"
16. buy new bras (I HATE doing this!)
17. ummm...more later...maybe...
