Spaztastik!

Finally took Tanner to a Gymboree class (mostly for the socialization). Um, yeah... there were only THREE kids in the class...including Tanner. He still had fun though!

It's fun to see some of your own traits get passed down to your kids. Although I'm not sure the boys will thank me for mine! Not only did Tanner get mama's short legs, he got my spastic movement as well (maybe that comes with the short legs?). He cracks me up!

Lots and Lots of Trains!

Ansell discovered that the Model Train Show was going on at the Santa Clara County fairgrounds today! There were a lot of different size trains running, and the boys loved all of them! There were so many young boys there! A few of the "smart" vendors sold some Thomas items! I bought some Thomas washcloths, toothbrushes, and a plastic bowl.

They were able to get up close to this display.

Here was the Lego train. Check out the black train as it goes around the curve!

Play Date!

Cody's classmate, Justin, and his mom were kind enough to invite us and Haley, as well as his neighbor over for a playdate! They have a wonderful backyard that was like a park! It was so FUN!

There was even a beautiful pond in the middle of the yard with waterfalls!

Here's Justin with his ketchup!

Havin' fun in the fully padded living room! I remember Ansell wanting to do that to our floors when the boys were younger!

Justin's mom even made sugar cookies for the kids to decorate! How fun!

Fair Fare

Almost exactly two years ago, we ventured to the LA County Fair! It was HUGE in every way! The food booths were just over-the-top...

Yes, that is a chicken sandwich made with KRISPY KREME DOUGHNUTS! Crazy!

There was even an ice rink with snow and a little snow hill for sledding...

And every so often, it would snow down on us!!!

And the animal area was just GIGANTIC! It should've been called "The Gigantic Red Barn! There were puppies, goats, pigs, sheep, chickens...

There were even unique animals there...like this!

So this year, when Ansell asked if I wanted to go to the Santa Cruz County Fair, I was all, "NO!" because I knew it wouldn't be as big as the LA County Fair. He really wanted to go take the boys to see a model train set up that a co-worker had told him about. So I decided that we'd give it a try...
Oh my GOSH! (As Cody would say!)
They absolutely LOVED the trains! There was a huge outdoor setup with trees and waterfalls!

And an indoor setup.

Then Thomas made an appearance and like a bunch of groupies, all the kids yelled, "There's Thomas!" Cody wanted to stand there all day long!
We managed to pry him away from the trains so we could go on some rides! Cody freaked out when we got to the top of the Super Slide, but Tanner was laughing all the way up and all the way down!

They really enjoyed the little train ride too.It was a really great day! We didn't have to go to the HUGE LA County Fair to have a fantastic time! We ate just as much (bad for you) food, the boys went on rides and saw animals. In fact, because of the model trains, I think we all had even more fun at the Santa Cruz County Fair! YAY!
