Sex and the City

LOVED IT! It reminded me how much I loved this show. I laughed, I cried, and I know there will never be another show like this again.

Mad Skills

Another one of my nieces has great athletic ability! Earlier I had mentioned my niece Elle had made Freshman of the Year for her Varsity high school basketball team. Now Maddie (also a freshman) made All League for her JV high school softball team and was MVP for the team!!! Hooray for my nieces!

Here's a picture from a few years ago...Watch out Kat Osterman!
Here she is at her birthday in December.

My Battered Husband

Here is Russell's leg 10 days after surgery. Ew! He had surgery on his knee, but it looks like his leg was run over by a truck! Now it's been over three weeks and he's doing fine. He just started walking (hobbling) without the crutches. Yay! I hope the slight atrophy that was setting in his thigh goes away now. My cellulite thigh was bigger than his!

Lexie's Party!

Lexie had her BIG birthday bash with her cousin Kaylee last Saturday! She is so cute! She lets most people carry her, but she always wants to get down to try and walk!

Tanner had fun at the party! He ate about four Ring Pops. In our case, they should be called Pacifier Pops.

Cody had a great time in the jumpy house!

It was a really nice party! There were buckets with bouquets of cookie flowers on each table! I also loved the balloons that formed big pink flowers. Each table had different pictures of the birthday girls all over it. ALL of the kids enjoyed the jumpy house- and even some of the adults!

I wish we had taken pictures of everything, but I am terrible at remembering to take pictures, and poor Russ is still on crutches and was only taking pics near his "camp". We didn't even get a picture of Kaylee! I better go pressure Kimi for the party pics...

Minna No Tabo

This is Minna No Tabo (part of the Hello Kitty characters). I had bought a pen with him on it because he reminded me of Cody. Little did I know, his birthday is the same day as Cody's! I totally forgot that Cody's birthday is Boy's Day (now Children's Day) in Japan, until I was reading some other blogs talking about it! I also bought the Minna doll that flails his arms and legs super fast when you pull the string. His description is that he is friendly, but can get into a bit of a panic. Total Cody style.

Minna No Tabo also has a little brother, just like Codester!!!

Post Op Post

A while back, Ansell tore his anterior cruciate ligament , and yesterday he had surgery on his right knee. His third on that leg, fifth total! Sorry, but the pictures will be taken by me for a while (not too good) as Ansell is out of commission. Here are some from yesterday...

Waiting for surgery...

Getting loaded into the car...

His set up at home. He has to use that CPM machine for 6 to 8 hours per day! It flexes his leg to a 40 degree angle and back...very slowly. He needs to increase flexion by 10 degrees each day, or as much as he can tolerate.

It's taken me a while to post this since, my role as Nurse Ratched has me exhausted as ever! HAH!

More Party...

We had a few fun and games for the kids to participate in, and I loved how most of them just jumped right in!

I love kids' projects, so we had plain party hats for the kids to decorate. I tried to keep the embellishments to "sticky back" type, but I just HAD to get glitter glue pens. They were kind of runny which resulted in drippy writing and glitter running into some hair!

David with his decorated party hat. He wore it for the rest of the party! I LOVE IT!!

The (recycled) pinata was fun to watch, even though I forgot to tape the bottom shut! Look at Haley beat Thomas to a pulp! HAH! She's so cute and fun!

Jennifer won the "pin the number 1 on Thomas" game! We had separate age groups compete for little prizes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY!

Cody turned FOUR yesterday (yes, on Cinco de Mayo), and we had his party last weekend. I didn't even post on his real birthday because I was still recovering from his party! It was the first big bash we've ever had for him, and he had a fantastic time!!! The theme was, of course, Thomas the Tank Engine!
