To Cute Not Too!

I have a weakness for ringed, lined notebooks. Especially if they're PINK! Here's my latest purchase from Kinokuniya. You can tell authentic Japanese products if they have bad grammar or weird sayings. For instance, the small notebook says, "The sunny sunday has came to her." HUH? The big notebook says, "All our products are created and manufactured for sensuous people." WHAT?!
I don't mind grammatical errors, but if you're manufacturing a product with ONE line of copy, you'd think they'd maybe proof it a lil' bit more? Eh, doesn't matter, I still buy the stuff anyway! Too cute not to!

Knotts Berry Farm

Two weeks ago, while we were down in LA, we went to Knotts Berry Farm. I remembered Camp Snoopy had some kiddie rides that I thought the boys might enjoy. (We're working our way up to Disneyland!). We didn't even go on all the kiddie rides because there were so many trains to ride! There was a kiddie train, a cave train, and a big train that went around half of the park! The boys loved it!

The Danger Report

The very same day I posted about Danger Boy Tanner, Danger Boy Cody went for a ride with Ansell, Tanner & Sydney, fell over on his bike and cracked his helmet!

This could have been his head!
We thought he was okay until he kept waking up crying and holding his forehead. I even gave him Tylenol for his headache, but he just kept crying. So we took him to emergency. One CT scan and 6 hours later...he was finally sent home. We probably would've been sent home earlier if he wasn't so tired (from no nap that day) and could answer some questions! But it was late, and he cried every time each nurse or doctor woke him up! Finally, when the fifth person woke him up (at 2:15 am), he had enough sleep to answer and appear cognizant!
Another "first" for Cody...our first trip to the emergency room!

First Day of Pre School!

Today was Cody's first day of pre -school! He may look nervous, but he did fine! I was glad Haley was there too! She is my cousin's little girl, and she did great! She even walked home with us (and my cousin had to drive to the house and wait for us! hah!).
His classroom is next door to the classroom I had for kindergarten! It was a dream of mine that our kids attend one of our (me or Ansell's) old schools! I love it!

Danger Boy Strikes Again!

Some of you know that our boys are quite a handful. If there's any chance of danger for kids, my boys will seek it out. A cupboard full of cleaning supplies? They'll decide to go investigate it just when you think they wouldn't do that kind of thing anymore! An anthill of fire ants? Why not sit on it? Oh and let's not forget the time my dad insisted that we didn't have to move the table in front of the raised hearth because he would "guard" the fireplace. Guess who was there in a flash when my dad went to grab something "real quick"? Tanner burned his fingertip, but it could've been his whole hand! Surprisingly, there's only been one incident when I've had to turn Tanner upside down and pound on his back to retrieve an animal shaped sponge out of his throat! That was scary!

Anyway, the last incident happened at my in-laws' swimming pool. Tanner spent the day in his life vest, but wouldn't leave the steps of the pool. He'd scream whenever I tried to get him to "swim" or even just leave the top step. So later in the day, we took off his vest, when we figured he was done being in the water.
Here's what happened next...

He wouldn't even do that with his vest ON!! Notice how Cody is taking off HIS life vest as this is all happening! No wonder my blood pressure is high now! Geez!
Props to my brother in law Terry, for taking these pics!

Swim Visit

Like I said earlier, I took the boys, Syd, and Maddie over my cousin Sallie's house for a swim. My other cousin Kristen was up from SoCal visiting with her three kids, and staying with Sallie. Sallie's sister Janelle was also there with her twin boys. It was a great day!
I only took a few pics because my head was constantly swiveling around to make sure all heads were above water.

Here are Sierra and Olivia.

Here's Tanner in his life vest from 1975, while David sports a cool Cars flotation suit.

Happy Anniversary!

Me & Ansell just had our seven year anniversary last week...
Here's a photo on the beach in Los Cabos, where we stayed two years ago on our anniversary...uh...but it wasn't for us! We were actually there for my sister in law's wedding! haha! We like to tell ourselves that it was for our anniversary though! This year on our anniversary, Ansell worked while I took the boys for a swim at my cousin's house. Then we went and put a bid on a house (which has already been rejected for being way too low), and then had dinner (with no kids) at The Cheesecake Factory! YUM! Yeah, not as exciting as going to Mexico, but a kidless dinner is quite a luxury for us!!! HAH! Oh yeah, and my sister brought us home a box of goodies from Gayle's, so we passed on cheesecake and went home for Napoleon's, espresso pudding, and fruit tart! Sooo good!

i heart paper

I LOVE Japanese paper. You know, the kind that hangs on dowels at Paper Source, or the kind you find online at The Paper Studio. What I like about the Paper Studio is that you can search by color. Just click on the pink box and...
I would love to wallpaper one wall with this.
But at 12.95 for a 24 x 37 piece, that would be too pricey for us! Not to mention the heart attack I would have when the boys drew all over it!!!

Cool Cardboard

I was on Lil Sugar, checking out the latest baby/kid stuff, and it showcased these cardboard creations from Cardboardesign! There's the fort (below), rocket ship, doll house, tee pee and more! Their items are made from recycled cardboard and fold flat for storage. I wonder how fast my boys would destroy this?

A Day Out With Thomas!

We finally bought tickets for A Day Out With Thomas! Cody couldn't wait to see "BIG Thomas" (which was actually just Thomas connected to the Roaring Camp train.)
Cody also enjoyed the other trains around the camp!

Here's Cody and Tanner's big moment with Thomas!

My Little Refugee

I always call Tanner my little Cambodian refugee. I think he looks like one, especially in this picture!

Here is my niece's boyfriend Chris stopping the little refugee from escaping back into the mountains!!
