Malm Madness!

So here is the IKEA Malm three drawer dresser. It is usually $69.99. It went on sale for ONE day at $39.99. Since we are on a tight budget, we decided to go get one for the boys' room. It was CRAZY!!! There were lines waiting to get in. Then we said, "forget it" when we saw everyone scrambling to go get in line for it. We shopped around the showroom for an hour, then Ansell decided to get in line anyway and just see if they ran out. We waited in line for an hour (with TANNER!)! They ran out of the oak finish while we were in line, but we wanted the white one anyway! We also picked up some floating shelves, a coffee table, a side table, two kids tables that came with two chairs each, two nightstands, a stuffed octopus, and a stuffed roly poly bug!! YES!!!

Red Mango

My mom's first taste of Red Mango frozen yogurt. It was my first taste too (green tea)! I had Pinkberry when we lived in LA and this tastes much the same. Actually, I've heard the Red Mango chain came before Pinkberry (in Korea). I was just happy that there wasn't a line out the door like Pinkberry always had! It may just be a sign of the times though...we later walked by the boba place, and it had closed down! Boo hoo!

Valentine Cookies!

My sister Tina baked sugar cookies so the kids could decorate them for Valentine's day. She frosted them with royal icing and brought her HUGE array of sprinkles for them to use. How fun!!!

One of these kids...

You know that song from Sesame Street, "One of these things is not like the others..."? Well, one of these kids is not like the others. One of these kids is wild, loud, and goes a 100 miles an hour all day. Hmmm...can you guess which one???

The Money Pit

We still haven't moved into our house.
As I said before, it needs quite a bit of work.
For now, I will lovingly call it The Money Pit.
Here's the tip of the iceberg...

Here's that vanity light that hangs down on each side, blocking the vanity mirror doors from opening.

My mom thought this was an attempt to clean up some spilled hair dye. I thought it was mold coming up through the floor. We were both wrong. It is actually the result of water pooling and saturating the glue under the vinyl. It has grown quite a bit since we first looked at the house five months ago. Ewwww!

I'm guessing this shower pan is the original from when the house was built.
