My Oldest Son

Occasionally, Ansell will photograph Cody as he's landing from a jump or even just a bouncy jog. We noticed his face will sag on impact, making him look like an old man!

Saggy face...

Normal face!

Do Not Try This At Home

Note to self:
No matter how much he begs, don't ever give Tanner grandma's prune juice...EVER. And no, that is not simply spilled prune juice. That is prune juice that had been through Tanner's system and had exploded out of the top of his diaper then dripped off of the back inside of his shirt. So much for a nice new carpet. After dripping on the carpet, he decided to run back to his bed and roll around a bit. The room smelled totally awesome!

Field Trip

Cody's class had a field trip to Vasona Park today. They had been watching tadpoles transform into frogs, and they went to release the frogs into the pond. Parents were allowed to bring siblings as long as they drove separate, so Tanner was able to join in the fun too! It was such a nice day at the park!

Here are Justin and Branden posing nicely, while my boys, Logan, Emmit, and Henry play creekside.

My cousin Doug was on "duck patrol". The frogs would have been a snack fresh out of the terrarium for them!

May Catch Up

May 1 - Happy May! Tanner inks himself!

May 2 - MOVING IN DAY!

Yes, we did paint Cody & Tanner's room in "Thomas the Tank Engine blue!".

May 5 - Happy 5 th Birthday Cody! No big party this year. No pics from little party since we forgot our cameras! Just imagine the same Thomas ice cream cake and balloons from Tanner's birthday in November.
Here's a practice pic (from 2005) for his 1st birthday bash (that never happened). Ansell made that giant Chinese takeout box!

May 9 - In the giant spinning garlic at Gilroy Gardens. It went too fast, and both boys freaked out. Tanner started hiccuping, and I thought he was going to hurl.

May 10 - Happy Mother's Day!
A nice breakfast out with my mom, dad, and my sister Tina's family at The Country Inn. Here is a mishmash of our leftovers. I had the eggs benedict with country potatoes. YUM!!!

Our Second Home

Since we were spending so much time at The Home Depot, Joan told me that the first Saturday of each month they have a free workshop for kids. We decided to check it out last month.

They made birdhouses! They got to keep the cute orange aprons! They received a little pin for their apron that acknowledges their project!

Smile Tanner!
YIKES! Tanner was actually too young for this activity, but they didn't check ID at the door! hah! Besides, that little tot next to him looks even younger!
