Coffee Love

Each morning, I mix a packet of cocoa with my coffee. It's my homemade mocha! I usually rest my spoon on the empty packet of cocoa to avoid having to scrub a coffee/cocoa stain off of the counter.

One morning, I discovered this...
Do you see what I see?

Yes! It's a heart!!! Pareidolia strikes again!

Bubble Boy 2

I wrote about Tanner being "Bubble Boy" in an earlier post, but that was in the bathtub. Now, when it rains, he's Bubble Boy in a different way! That plastic stroller cover is the best! Russell found it on Craig's List (or eBay), because we didn't buy the cover when Cody was using this (now discontinued) stroller! Didn't need it since it hardly rains in L.A., and we didn't HAVE to walk to school in the rain either! Yeah, I could drive when it rains, but the traffic jam in front of the school means we'd probably have to walk the same distance anyway!

It's Potty Time!

It's been a month...and Tanner is (pretty much) potty trained!!!
I still put a diaper on him at night, but he's been waking up dry!!!

He's come a long way from this...
His second day of potty training included NINE accidents! I had to wash underwear that night to ensure I had enough for the next day!
I can't believe that little rascal goes on the potty now! I thought the day would NEVER come. He still asks for candy after going poop on the potty, but I only give in sometimes!

Plasticland Purse!

HOW CUTE! Hot pink? Glitter? Are you kidding me??
Kind of looks like it's for a 9 yr. old girl...kind of don't care.
I LOVE IT!
Found this via Apartment Therapy, which posted an ad for Plasticland.

Christmas Continued...

Still playing blog catch up...

Russell had a furlough week after Christmas, so we decided to go down for "L.A. Christmas" during his week off, so we could stay longer.

It was Cody's turn to bring home Gingy from his class. He was so excited to bring him on our road trip to L.A.

We stopped at Sonic in Gilroy. Our first time trying one out! They gave out TRAINS in the kids meal!

Then the long drive with a whole lot of nothing to look at....

Passing through Coalinga...

We hit some dense fog on the Grapevine, and it was really cold.

But we arrived to this...not sure how to spell it, but Russell calls it Dabino. My mother in law buys salmon, chicken, two kinds of thinly sliced beef, tofu, mushrooms, fish cake, shrimp, green beans, etc, etc, etc.
The broth in the pan is heated up, you load up your little handle basket with whatever you wish, wait a few, remove, then dip in a soy based sauce. Eat. Pick something else out. Repeat (many times!)! YUM!!!

After dinner, it was Christmas Round 2!!!

While down in L.A., we HAVE to make our requisite trip to dim sum! YUM again! And Gingy came too!

He also came to Travel Town with us! There's no Thomas on the tracks (but very much in the gift shop!), but the boys still love it here! There's "Danger Boy Tanner" walking the tracks on the left.

Elle the Baker

My niece Elle loves to bake. She made us these little "hamburgers" out of chocolate chip cake and cornbread! YUMMY!! This little cuties are quite dangerous because it's SO easy to walk by and pop one into my mouth (many times) throughout the day!

Here's Elle when she's not baking. Hopefully she's not making any turnovers...
GET IT? HAHAHA!!!

Christmas Day!

I am so behind on postings, but I'll try to catch up. Let's see...so we had our first Christmas morning in our very own house!

First glimpse of Santa's gifts in the living room...

Deciding which present to open first. (I wish I wasn't in the pic, but my "ghastly morning look" isn't too far from my normal "rest of the day" look anyway! haha!).
After opening Santa's gifts and playing with the new toys for a while, we got ready and headed over to Grandpa & Grandma's (my parents) to meet up with the rest of my side.

Finally got all the cousins together for a nice pic. Now we just have to work on getting ALL of us in a picture together!

And then there was a lot of Rock Band going on in the family room. This is my brother in law Doug. Engineer by day, drummer by night.
